Lyon County 84, LaRue County 65

In our second quarterfinal of the day, it was 10th ranked Lyon County taking on unranked LaRue County. A pair of early lead changes led way to a 13-5 run by Lyon County behind a trio of three-pointers from Travis Perry and Brady Shoulders. A Carson Childress three-pointer two minutes later would cap a 5-0 run for the Hawks to pull within 15-17. Lyon County countered with a 7-0 run of their own to take a 24-17 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. The Lyons lead grew to as many as 11 points early in the second quarter. It was a Daniel Allen layup with 3:30 remaining in the half that capped an 11-2 run by LaRue County to pull the back within a basket. Carson Childress would connect on a three-pointer moments later for the Hawks to pull within 34-35. The Hawks were held scoreless for the final 1:48 of the half as Lyon County jumped ahead 40-34 at the half.

Lyon County opened the second half on a 10-0 run holding LaRue County scoreless for nearly three minutes as they jumped ahead 50-34. The Lyons were dominant in the second half never allowing LaRue County to get closer than 10 points for the remainder of the game. It was a 16-4 run by the Lyons that really put things away as their lead extended to 22 points at 84-62. A basket in the final minute by LaRue County's Riley Hatfield cut the final margin to 84-65.

Lyon County's Jack Reddick was named Central Bank Player of the Game with 22 points. Travis Perry led all scorers with a game-high 34 points adding 7 rebounds and 6 rebounds. LaRue County was led by Carson Childress with 28 points, including 8 three-point baskets, and 8 rebounds. Daniel Allen added 23 points and 9 rebounds for the Hawks

Lyon County advances to Monday's semifinals to play the winner of Great Crossing vs. George Rogers Clark at 7:30pm. LaRue County will take on the loser of Great Crossing vs. George Rogers Clark at 6:00pm on Monday in the consolation bracket.
