FERN CREEK 75, CLEVELAND 57

The fourth ranked Tigers of Fern Creek stormed past out-of-state for Cleveland (Seattle, WA) to clinch the final spot in tomorrow's quarterfinals. Cleveland found themselves in a hole early due to poor shooting and turnovers as Fern Creek jumped ahead 18-13 at the end of the opening quarter. The Tigers then put their foot on gas in the second quarter outscoring the Eagles 28-13 in route to a 20 point halftime lead. The Tigers converted 13 Cleveland turnovers into 20 first half points. The Eagles finally found some rhythm in the third quarter outscoring the Tigers to briefly cull their momentum.  Early in the fourth quarter Fern Creek surged again to amass their largest lead of the game at 69-45. The Eagles finished the game on a 12-6 run to cut the final score to 75-57. Samford signee Anthony Wales led the Tigers with a game-high 22 points. Ahmad Price  and Tony Rogers added 12 points and 10 points respectively. Cleveland was led by Washington State commit CJ Elleby with 20 points.
