North Laurel 74, Dorman (SC) 66

6th ranked North Laurel connected on 14 three-point baskets to propel them past Dorman (SC) 74-66 and send the Jaguars to the first ever KOB Championship game. The two teams set the pace in the opening quarter connecting on six three-point field goals as they exchanged the lead five times. North Laurel converted 3 Dorman turnovers into 5 points to help propel them on an 11-2 run in the final half of the quarter. The Jaguars lead grew to as many as 12 points early in the second quarter following a pair of three-pointers by Reed Sheppard. Dorman would end the half on a 10-3 run to go to the locker room trailing 22-27. A pair of free throws by Jordan Miller would tie the game at 31-31 midway through the third quarter. Dorman would take the lead on their next possession. They would exchange the lead a pair of times throughout the end of the quarter with Noah Clowney's basket in the closing seconds of the quarter putting Dorman back ahead 42-40. Sheppard's three pointer one minute into the fourth quarter, one of five early Jaguar three-pointers in the quarter, would give North Laurel the lead for good at 46-44. A pair of free throws by Jordyn Surratt would pull Dorman back within a point at 52-51 but they could never take back the lead. The Jaguars outscored Dorman 18-7 over the next four minutes to extend their lead to as many as 12 points with a minute to play in the game. A pair of three-point baskets by Christian Andrews and Jordan Miller gave the Cavaliers hope cutting the lead to 64-70 in the final minute but time ran out on Dorman's comeback and the Jaguars advanced. North Laurel outscored Dorman 42-21 from three-point range while shooting 47% from long distance.

Reed Sheppard led all scorers with 34 points while adding 6 assists and 9 steals for the Jaguars. Central Bank Player of the Game Clay Sizemore added 16 points for North Laurel. Christian Andrews and Jordan Miller led Dorman in scoring with 16 point each.

North Laurel will play Covington Catholic on Tuesday at 7:30pm in the 2021 Gardner Law King of the Bluegrass Championship. Dorman will play Male for 3rd place at 6:00pm Tuesday.
